The only thing that is certain, is that we consistently move forward. We must grieve, MUST, but it can only be allowed to last for so long, it must be turned into something positive or else it's in vain... all of it. I would more than recommend having your wife write her memoirs, or the story, let it just pour out of her, even if she has to sit at the computer for hours, just staring, eventually it will come, it will pour. Start a foundation, a group, an outlet to find hope for the situation, to remedy it. If we sit, doing nothing, feeling our pain consume us, then we hopefully have loved ones to help us out, it isn't easy. But joy can be found. Start watching only comedies, any time, laughter is the best way to open up the emotions, though it could end up in tears, she's got to get it out, then move on, never forget, and forge ahead for the memory the life.
There is nothing God hands us that we cannot handle, and when we cannot, he sends help, in amazing and surprising ways, have faith, and find solace in knowing that when we lose anything/one we love they are now able to be around, and still help us through things. I truly believe this.
God Bless I hope this helps,
peace
and love

wow... i just saw your ping... been there since FEB... but YES i do still feel like i wasted those four years
The navy sent me to school for about a year and a half of my time in... Condense six years of college into eight months worth of power point boredom with an expected retention rate of 20% max, arriving to a command that starts you with the basic training all over again (despite your shools) and by the time you get to the level you were taught you've forgotten what you learned through lack of practice. Dealing with Lazy bastards who do nothing but bitch and moan about stupid shit, and a leadership structure that only acknowleges people who fit into THEIR click or shit bags who got in trouble for drugs or alcohol abuse and thus have some means of showing progress when they offer a half assed effort when YOU do ten times the work and barely get an "atta boy" with a pat on the back... if your lucky.
Granted i walked away with $25,000 for college and a general under honorable conditions discharge... Woopty fuckin' doo... I barely have what's considered a knowlege base for mechanical engineering and electrical safety... and i can use the mgi bill for the purpose of learning how to work for someone else... if i'm lucky enough to graduate with barely enough to get bye on with two jobs while i go to school and utilise my allotment of said bill. Fuck the Navy, Fuck the govorment, fuck fred bere... whoever the fuck that is

Ron - we did not go to iraq to steal oil, we went to secure our interests ... from reading many of your posts I am not clear you believe that or understand what it means. Bottom line, if the world falls apart, which we are trying to prevent, we will have to steal the oil, just as both sides tried to do in WWII ... ie. Stalingrad, or the Desert war. The US is made up of normal humans, many of them greedy or opportunistic, but we tend to also act to promote the rule of law in ways that makes sense as much as possible - ie. imperfectly.

Sorry it took me so long to reply, but I'm doing it now. *smile* How's the home building going? Also, thanks about my saying.

Hi Ron. No it hasn't been foggy here that I'm aware of. We've had some snow from time to time though. Lucky for us that it hasn't stayed though. LOL And when it's not snowing, it's either raining or the sun comes out for a few days. It can't seem to make up it's mind! LOL

Hi Ron. I noticed that you consider yourself a rebel who rides a Harley... How cool is that!? I once had a dream of having a Harley of my own. Being on the back of a Harley, with the wind in my face was nothing like anything I had ever experienced before in my life! I loved it! In fact, I was even mistaken for a Harley Rider once. I can't tell you how proud I was to be mistaken for a Harley Rider... LOL I learned that it takes a special person to own one and to be able to handle one. Back in the old days I knew of many who rode Harleys. In fact, I had the rare priviledge of getting to know many. I had more respect for some than most. BTW- Thanks for pinging me.

I saw your memorial; it is very impressive, both in its construction and in its sentiment. It took me a while to get around to responding to you, but I wanted you to know that I did follow up on your message.
